Join Sagesse Saturday, November 13 at 8 pm for #EatPlayLoveCabaret! This is a virtual event in support of our domestic abuse prevention programs.
Eat Play Love is all about indulgence, laughter and fun. It’s also a fundraiser for Sagesse, a domestic abuse prevention organization.
About this event
Join us for an evening of music, magic, dance, and burlesque with Cabaret Calgary, hosted by Drag Queen extraordinaire and trans activist Karla Marx, and featuring talented artists including:
Mariya Stokes - If Kacey Musgraves and Meghan Trainor had a country-soul lovechild, the result would be Calgary-based country artist Mariya Stokes. Known for her quick wit, quirky sense of humour, and signature retro style, Country Music Alberta's two-time reigning Female Artist of the Year is in music for the long haul.
Bebe Buckskin - Bebe Buckskin is a Cree/Metis artist with deep roots in the muskeg and boreal forest of Northern Alberta. Naturally bluesy, nostalgically rock ‘n roll and undoubtedly soulful; her sound is a fresh amalgamation of vintage genres.
James Jordan – Comedy-magician James Jordan has received praise and applause from festivals, cabaret theatres, bars, corporate parties and yes, kids’ birthday parties all over the world. It does not matter where he is, his act is sure to please. His life has been spent developing a unique blend of comedy, magic, music and juggling.
Wyatt C. Louis - Wyatt C. Louis is a Plains Cree folk singer-songwriter based in Moh'kinstsís (Calgary). He has made an impact on the eclectic city with songs built from soaring melodies, railroad-like finger picking and quiet, haunting vocals and lyrical phrasing.
Vogue YYC Trio - Open to all, the YYC Vogue Community is working on introducing VOGUE culture to anyone in Calgary!
Bea Lissima - Hailing from Moh’kins’tsis (Calgary), the pearl of the prairies, Bea Lissima, has been performing burlesque for 15 years. She has graced stages across Turtle Island from the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender in Las Vegas to the Asian Burlesque Festival in New York City. She is an out and proud queer woman of colour and is delighted to share with you her body's politics!
Ivy la Fleur - Songstress and Striptease Artist Ivy La Fleur has left her mark entertaining crowds from East to West. The sweetest of sweet, with the Sass to match, Ivy is a triple threat. Commonly known for her seductive nature, campy stage presence and well-rounded character work.
