Our communities Are Changing. So Are We.
On December 4 CDLI is hosting a gathering to explore how our communities have changed. With these many shocks to our sense of community a time of reflexivity can prove to be meaningful. We need to change along with our communities, understand what was made possible and explore the new possibilities for our future!
What is reflexivity?
Reflexivity - "A process of continual, active reflection that moves beyond comfort, to activate new ways of knowing & doing based on new information." - Ta7talíya Michelle Nahanee.
Part 1 - Panel Discussion (10:00AM - 11:15AM)
What has changed and what's possible from Calgarians who ran in the 2021 election. These courageous Calgarians put their name on the ballot box to represent their communities as a school board trustee or at City Hall. What did they learn? They will share their interesting stories of reflection and experience.
Break (11:15AM - 11:30AM)
Part 2 - What's Possible!? (11:30AM-1:00PM)
Each breakout room will have a facilitator to help support the process of reflexivity.
2.1. Join us for a community conversation about what was made possible for our communities during the past year. This process will lend us to...ask what's possible for our collective future?
2.2. What are the new emerging possibilities that will support our communities?
