About this event

1. For elected federal, provincial, and municipal government officials and candidates to recognize the Indigenous Genocide in Canada and implement justice measures as outlined by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) as well as The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP).

2. For individuals who deny the Indigenous Genocide in Canada and the effects of methods of genocide including the Residential Schooling System to have the same cultural, legal, and social consequences as those who deny the Jewish Holocaust.

3. For the federal, provincial, and municipal governments to incorporate stronger laws to combat hate crimes and provide efficient mechanisms of implementing these laws through police and similar organizations.
