We are a group of community development practitioners and community members who are seeking to hold space to deepen learning and action around anti-racism and decolonization efforts in our communities. We have monthly meetings - typically the third Monday of the month from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Together this group undertakes work to host conversations and develop resources relating to anti-racism and decolonization.
Projects this year include the Creating Just Futures Initiative, where we’re convening community organizations to make a systems map on anti-racism & decolonization efforts in Calgary communities, developing accountability spaces, and supporting storytelling for change.

The February monthly LAT meeting will focus on Personalizing Land Acknowledgements, hosted by our Learning & Accountability Circle. This session will help to inform the design of a community workshop that challenges us to deepen our understanding and practice around land acknowledgements in our communities.
