Over the past 5 months, For the City have been seeking out the pulse of North Central Calgary. For The City has been engaged by The Pole Foundation to design a community hub for the population of North Central Calgary in the land north of what is now Livingston. Through interviews with over 30 groups ranging from the cultural to the civic, creatives to the foodie, each has brought colour and context to the decisions that will need to be made.
The first phase of this community impact project was to hear the voices of the people weaving together the fabric of this area, establishing a solid foundation for a project that will impact generations. And as we wrap up this first phase of the project with this report back to the community, we look forward to all that is still to come. We hope that as we progress on this journey you will have our backs and be there to help ensure that what is built and created is worthwhile, bringing hope and value for generations to come.
On March 14, we will be hosting an in-person (at Vivo) and online open house to present the findings and takeaways of these last few months, and we would very much appreciate your input. Below is a link to register as we need to ensure we have space for all who would like to attend.
