CDLI hosts regular community conversations like Meet Ups for anyone interested in helping to build better communities to learn from one another.
Our neighbourhoods are full of possibilities that can allow for us to create new memories, new opportunities of connections and a splash of creativity! Here at CDLI we've been curious about placemaking and how it benefits our community development efforts. Join us IN PERSON at the historical Loughheed House (707 13th Ave SW T2R 0K8 ) for an evening of sharing ideas around the value of placemaking.
This meet up will take the form of a panel discussion. Learn from four Placemakers share about their experience activating spaces, connecting people to places where they live and the challenges and success of placemaking within a community development lens.
A precursor to our lively conversation, we'll explain the Community Placemakers program that CDLI has offered to help support placemaking over the past three years.
For more information on panelists, the event or registration visit Eventbrite.
If you're looking for support for your own community building efforts, be part of our virtual ABCD Learning & Action Team.
Note that this is an in person experience only, with connections happening outdoors and in the garden of the Loughheed House. We will unfortunately not have ways for people to participate in this gathering virtually, nor will there be a recording. However, we'll have plenty of other opportunities to connect over the coming weeks!
