Join CDLI in a conversation circle and active practicing of bringing community development and activism together.
In the conversation circle you will hear from others how they are bringing community development and activism together, and you can offer your examples, or ideas you have. There is always the right to pass in a conversation circle if you feel you don't want to contribute.
To practice we will join with others to try:
making protest art
discussing anti-oppression based parenting
care network mapping (many use different terms for similar work)
sharing resources that support our ability to bring activism and community development together
Activism and Community Development can mean many things. Please feel free to visit CDLI's About Us page to learn more about how we describe community development.
For the purposes of this gathering, and knowing CDLI's focus is community development not activism, we are inviting in folks with lived experience in activism related to gender equity, climate, disability and racial justice.
